We are an Indigenous not-for-profit school that focuses on education grounded in culture and Language. Formerly known as the Gumbaynggirr Giingana Freedom School (GGFS), we are the first bilingual school of an Aboriginal Language in New South Wales.

Acknowledgment of Country

Yaam wajaarr yaamandi ngiyaala warrgambi, ngarraanga, ngaarri Gumbaynggirr wagin. Ngiyaala garla-ngarraanga yaam wajaarr, jurruybiin, guuyubiin waarrundi ngurraang ngaawa ngiyaagu ngarraangaygurraygu ngiyambandi gamambi jawgarr. Ngiyamabandi baabagu Yuludarla bijaarrambang wumaaga garruugu jalumbaw wajaarr. Ngiyaala jawgarr garla-ngarraanga wumaaga wajaarr. Yidaa jalumbaw, yidaa yilaana, yaam girrwaanbi-gundi wajaarr.

This land where we work, learn and play is proper Gumbaynggirr. We pay our deepest respects to Country, Elder women and Elder men who passed their language on to the next generation in order for our children to learn today. May our children now uplift and carry our Language and Culture always.

Our father, Yuludarla named many parts of Country differently. We therefore deeply respect all Country. Always was, always will be Goori land.
